Sitting on the floor is primo
I really don't sit on couches terribly often. Or chairs, really. A lot of the eating I do is done standing by the counters, a lot of the lounging I do is on the floor. Especially in the summer.
Just set up a box fan, lay down in front of it...
maybe lay a sheet over your setup and make a little air tent fort thing...
get nice and cozy with maybe a snack, get your Switch or DS or something...
just lay there and enjoy it...
Plus, floor comes free with every house. No need to buy seperate couch that will be annoying to move. Terribly convenient!
Then there's also tables and such for eating at, but for the most part, I eat standing up at the island in the kitchen. Way more comfortable, easier, you don't have to have a trillion chairs to feed a trillion people, nobody sitting at the corner on a folding chair.
That's not to mention how good of a stretch sitting on the floor is, how good it is for flexibility, and most importantly...
It's a whole vibe!! You get to feel like some cool-ass Japanese samurai or whatever. Feeling like a real wise guy. Hell yeah.
My friends and I have been thinking about living together, and of course I don't want to spend a whole awful lot on furniture right away. I mean sitting on a couch with your favorite people is an absolute vibe in its own right...
But screw sectional couches. My mom's got one and yeah, it's big, but it's too big. It's not comfortable. Kinda ugly. Heavy. Always being rearranged. Takes up the whole living room and there's always a chunk not facing the TV and it spends a big chunk of time arranged as a big 2x3 bed and these chumps keep spending all of their time in the living room and sleeping out there and the TV is on all night and I hates it, precious!
Screw sectionals. Screw having multiple couches, also. Four people sitting side by side, close together, screaming at each other over Mario Party is how it was meant to be.
I have full confidence that living with my friends is going to be amazing. Especially if I end up being the one who stays home and does things around the house. I love household chores.
I just remembered this page is supposed to be about sitting on the floor, and uh, yeah, it's really great. I really like rambling on and on about things hardly pertinent to the main topic. Super fun. I guess I gotta make a seperate page about the whole living with friends idea? Or maybe it would be a wiser idea to just keep this one page going super duper long, to get lost in. Probably gonna do that.
