Video Games are Too Handholdy!!

Modern games have waypoints EVERYWHERE. The protag is always saying some stuff to themself to give the player a hint/reminder on what to do next. Stupid stinkin' minimaps mean you don't have to pay attention to the level design. AAA. So annoying. I get it though. What if the player wasn't paying attention or someone started talking to them in the middle of a cutscene? What if you haven't played for a while? I see your point and I raise you a "The pause menu should have a direct plaintext hint on what to do next so it doesn't get in the way if you were paying attention and it's still there if you didn't". Plain and simple, gets the job done!

Plus we also need to talk about difficulty modes. Games like Ghost of Tsushima are best on the hardest modes because they force you to be resourceful and make use of your full toolkit!! I'm more than cool with accessibility, but readers, you should really try to play games on harder difficulties than you think you can be comfortable. Push yourself a smidge.
